The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have secured the services of New Zealand Warriors outside back Krisnan Inu, with the Kiwi international joining the Club today after being granted an immediate release from his Warriors contract. The 25 year-old joins the Club on a three and a half year deal that takes him through to the conclusion of the 2015 National Rugby League season. Inu played 21 first grade matches for the Warriors after joining them from Parramatta at the conclusion of the 2010 season, scoring 12 tries in that time. The vastly experienced centre or winger featured in the 2011 Grand Final for the Warriors and the 2009 decider for the Eels, and has also represented New Zealand in four Test matches, having debuted as a 20 year old back in 2007. “The Bulldogs are excited to have a player of Krisnan Inu’s pedigree join the Club,” Bulldogs head coach Des Hasler says. “Krisnan is an international player and his arrival comes off the back of an horrific run of injuries in our outside backs, numbering five in total. “We certainly think that Krisnan’s arrival will help fill that void.” Inu says he is thankful to the Warriors for allowing him to take up the opportunity at the Bulldogs. “It’s come about sooner than expected due to circumstances and everything has happened quickly over the last couple of days but I’m thankful for the opportunity,” Inu says. “I appreciate what the Vodafone Warriors have done in letting me go now, giving me the chance to play NRL football. “I want to thank everyone at the club for what they’ve done for me. I’ve enjoyed my time here.”Inu’s first game in blue and white when it comes will also be his 100th in the NRL, stretching back to his debut back in round four of the 2007 season.
