The young Catalan scrum-half takes over from Greg Bird, who left the club during the off-season to join the NRL club Gold Coast Titans. "Thomas is at the club since the beginning. He has improved dramatically since his debut in Super League. He is a key player for the Catalans and the national team. I feel him ready to take on this role and I guess it is natural that I have given him the captaincy. "Said Kevin Walters. Moreover, Jerome Guisset retains his role as club captain.
