The “Legends Walk” was officially opened on March 6, 2004. This unique historic memorial recognises personal contributions to the success of the St George District Rugby League Football Club since its inception in 1921. There are 16 Dragon legends already inducted into the “Legends Walk” including Norm Provan, Graeme Langlands MBE, Reg Gasnier AM, Johnny Raper MBE, Johnny King, Billy Smith, Ken Kearney, Matt McCoy, Noel Piddington, Rod Reddy, Kevin Ryan, Eddie Lumsden, Ian Walsh, Brian Clay, Craig Young and Mark Coyne. Special Guests on the day will include the Families of Robert Stone and Billy Wilson along with the Prime Minister of Australia The Hon. John Howard, Club Patron Doug McClelland, St George Football Club Chairman Peter Black, Dragons Chairman Warren Lockwood, Dragons CEO Peter Doust, some of the already inducted “Legends”, current Dragons Coach Nathan Brown and immediate past and present players. The official ceremony and unveiling of the monuments will commence at 9.30am Media and the general public are invited to attend.
